  1. Download iTunes on your computer
    Download iTunes or, if you already have it, make sure you have the latest version installed at this link: https://www.apple.com/au/itunes/
  2. Back up your data
    1. Plug your phone into your computer using the cable from your iPhone charger. iTunes should launch automatically and begin backing up your phone.
      1. If the backup does not begin automatically, open iTunes and click the iPhone icon in the upper-left section of the window. In Summary Settings, open Manually Back Up and Restore, then select Back Up Now.
    2. Wait for the backup to complete. If you haven’t backed up in a while (or ever), the process may take 30 minutes or more.
  3. Sign out of iCloud and the iTunes & App Store.
    • If you're using iOS 10.3 or later, tap Settings > [your name]. Scroll down and tap Sign Out. Enter your Apple ID password and tap Turn Off.
    • If you're using iOS 10.2 or earlier, tap Settings > iCloud > Sign Out. Tap Sign Out again, then tap Delete from My [device] and enter your Apple ID password. Then go to Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID > Sign Out.
  4. Go back to Settings and tap General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. If you turned on Find My iPhone, you might need to enter your Apple ID and password. Forgot your Apple ID or your Apple ID password?
  5. If asked for your device passcode or Restrictions passcode, enter it. Then tap Erase iPhone.

  2. Back up your data
    1. Plug your phone into your computer using the cable from your Samsung charger and launch Smart Switch.
    2. When the software recognizes your phone, click Back Up.
    3. If you haven’t backed up in a while (or ever), the process may take 30 minutes or more.

    1. Go to your "Settings" app > Tap "System" > Tap" Advanced" > Tap "Reset options" > Select "Erase all data (factory reset)"
